Meet the GYROKINESIS® Apprentices
Rachel Bood
Rachel has been passionate about movement for as long as she can remember. She has a long history teaching Dance, Fitness, and Pilates, as well as multiple embodied movement practices. Dedicated to her own personal health and wellness journey, She started practicing the GYROKINESIS® method in 2019. This method has helped to bring back a quality in her body that feels like home. Rachel is thankful for what GYROKINESIS® has taught her and is thrilled to be finishing her teacher certification this Spring! Using vivid imagery, verbal cuing and hands-on feedback Rachel moves participants through organized and educational classes, with the goal to have people take what they learn in class out into their world and feel better everyday! She looks forward to moving with you!
Laura Stoicescu
While working as a management consultant and certified Project Manager Professional in a corporate environment, Laura suffered an unexpected health issue, leaving to a major stroke. From the frightening realization that she cannot feel her right side, to gradually regaining control of her leg and arm, the journey of hope continues to this day. She discovered GYROKINESIS® through a series of individual sessions, five years into her stroke recovery therapy. Significant improvements gained within a few weeks inspired her to consider becoming a trainer. Laura’s goal is to raise awareness about the Gyrokinesis Method benefits, to encourage stroke survivors to try this method, and to encourage trainers to work with people recovering from an injury or dealing with a disability. It takes patience, dedication, and commitment. It also takes courage to trust that you can recover - to hope that you can live your life again, with grace and ease… one step at a time, one day at a time.
